Auction Terms & Conditions

At Craig Auction & Sales, we believe in transparency and fairness. Our policies are designed to ensure a positive experience for both buyers and sellers throughout Central Nebraska.

Buyer Terms

Bidding Registration

All bidders must register with a valid email address and phone number before participating in any auction. By registering, you agree to abide by all terms and conditions.

Buyer's Premium

A buyer's premium of 10% will be added to the final bid price. For example, if your winning bid is $100, your total payment will be $110.

Payment

We accept cash, check, and major credit cards. All payments must be made in full within 48 hours of auction close. A 3% processing fee applies to all credit card transactions.

Pickup Procedures

Items must be picked up within 7 days of auction close unless otherwise specified. Storage fees of $10 per day will apply after the pickup deadline.

Seller Terms

Consignment

We offer competitive commission rates based on item value and auction type. Contact us for a personalized quote for your specific items or estate.

Marketing & Promotion

Your items will be professionally photographed and marketed through our website, email lists, social media, and targeted advertising to ensure maximum visibility.

Settlement

Seller settlements are processed within 14 business days after auction close and all items have been picked up by buyers.

Reserve Prices

Sellers may set reserve prices on items. If the reserve is not met, the seller has the option to accept the highest bid or retain the item.

Returns & Refunds

  • All sales are final, as-is, where-is.
  • Buyers are responsible for inspecting items before bidding.
  • Descriptions are provided as a courtesy only.
  • Refunds are only issued in cases of significant misrepresentation.

Shipping & Handling

  • Local pickup is preferred for all items.
  • Shipping is available for select items at buyer's expense.
  • Buyers must arrange third-party shipping for large items.
  • We can recommend local shipping services upon request.

Tax & Legal

  • Nebraska sales tax of 7.5% applies to all applicable purchases.
  • Tax-exempt buyers must provide valid documentation.
  • Firearms transfers require all applicable legal documentation.
  • Buyers are responsible for knowing local laws regarding purchases.

Contact us as soon as possible to make alternative arrangements. Storage fees may apply if items are not picked up within the designated timeframe. We understand that circumstances can change, and we will do our best to accommodate reasonable requests.

We make every effort to accurately represent items in our auctions, but all items are sold as-is. We strongly encourage buyers to attend preview events when available to personally inspect items before bidding. For online-only auctions, we provide detailed photos and descriptions, but cannot guarantee condition or authenticity of all items.

We accept cash, checks, and major credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express). Please note that a 3% processing fee is added to all credit card transactions. For large purchases, we may require payment by bank wire transfer or cashier's check.

Contact our office to discuss your items and arrange an evaluation. We can schedule an appointment to view your items at our facility or your location. Based on the evaluation, we'll provide commission rates and an estimate of potential auction values. Once terms are agreed upon, we'll handle all aspects of cataloging, marketing, and selling your items.
